Joe will be discussing the formation of the Colorado Rocky Mountains by looking at the changes in geologic concepts on the formation of the mountains. He will talk about the timing of formation of the mountains and the amount of crustal shortening involved in the formation of the mountains and then look at the formation of the Colorado Mineral Belt.
