We are pleased to have Joe Newhart as our featured speaker this month. He will be discussing GLACIATION in Colorado. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.

Specifically, Joe will discuss the climatic factors that caused Pleistocene glaciation in North America with a focus on the alpine glaciation in Colorado. His presentation  will cover the phases of glaciation and extent of the glaciers in Summit County. Landforms and deposits resulting from the glacial activity will be discussed as well as examples from the local area.
